Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. handles your personal data with care and confidentiality. Below you can read how Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. gives effect to the GDPR and the information obligation contained therein towards the data subject(s) whose personal data are processed. This concerns only the processing of personal data of natural persons. Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. processes personal data for the performance of its legal services.
Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. processes personal data that are collected during a visit to the website and/or if these data have been provided to Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. This also includes the personal data that have reached Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. in the context of its services, have been disclosed by third parties, or have become known through public sources.
Among other things, the following personal data are processed by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.:
- (company) name, (invoice) address and place of residence, country, gender, telephone number, email address and IP address;
- identity data, (business) bank and payment details;
- visitors of the websites www.asscherarbeidsrecht.nl and www.asscheradvocaten.nl;
- recipients of newsletters or other events organised by or in cooperation with Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.;
- the personal data of persons involved in the performance of the work by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.;
- data of persons based on (submitted) procedural documents or other documents that are necessary for the work of Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.
Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. processes personal data for the following purposes:
- to maintain contact with (future) clients;
- for the performance of the agreement and carrying out legal work, including invoicing (and, if applicable, collecting unpaid claims) for the services provided by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.;
- to comply with legal obligations;
- to optimise the client database with associated marketing activities;
- for sending newsletters and updates related to the activities of and by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.
The aforementioned personal data are processed by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. on the basis of the presence of one (or more) of the following grounds:
- there is a legal obligation;
- performance of an agreement;
- there is a legitimate interest;
- consent has been given.
Personal data will not be retained by Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. longer than is strictly necessary for the processing purposes mentioned above.
The data subjects whose personal data are processed have the following rights:
- the right to access the personal data that have been processed;
- the right to supplement or correct data if these data are incomplete or incorrect at Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V.;
- the right to delete data. Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. will only proceed with such deletion if a statutory retention obligation does not prevent this;
- the right, when personal data are processed on the basis of consent, to withdraw previously given consent;
- the right to transfer data to another party;
- the right to object to the processing of personal data;
- the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
If it is necessary for the services of Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V., and if there is a legal basis for doing so, Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. shares personal data with third parties. In that case, Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. will conclude a data processing agreement with these third parties in accordance with the GDPR.
Asscher Advocatenkantoor B.V. may amend the Privacy Statement without prior consent if there is reason to do so.
