Floris
Asscher
Floris has been a lawyer since 2011, specialising in employment law. After many years at a mid-sized law firm, Floris founded his own boutique firm in 2025: Asscher Arbeidsrecht.
Floris advises and litigates across the full spectrum of employment law, including:
- individual and collective dismissal cases,
- special clauses (such as non-compete and non-solicitation clauses),
- employee participation law, and
- due diligence investigations.
His clients primarily include Dutch branches of large international companies (listed and non-listed), Dutch SMEs, and employees in senior management positions.
Floris is also active as an author. For SDU OpMaat, he contributed to the reference work SDU Memo+ Arbeidsrecht, where he was responsible for the memorandum Arbeidstijden, which was also used for the book Hoe zit het met het nieuwe arbeidsrecht? In addition, Floris has contributed to popular publications on employment-law topics in newspapers, magazines and various websites.

Sophia has over ten years of experience as a lawyer, specialising in both employment law and pension law. She has extensive experience in advising and litigating on:
- the mandatory participation in sectoral pension funds (scope of application),
- exemptions from participation in sectoral pension funds,
- amendments to pension agreements, and
- a wide range of employment-law topics (from remuneration policies to dismissal).
In addition, Sophia has extensive experience with mediation processes — both as a former MfN-registered mediator and in her role as legal adviser to employers and employees. She also supports works councils with legal questions relating to reorganisations and employment conditions.
Sophia stands out for her analytical approach, her eye for the human side of employment law, and her ability to explain complex pension and employment-law matters clearly.
